Dr Rachel Hines: General Practitioner

Dr Rachel Hines is a Menopause Specialist and a General Practitioner specialising in Women’s Health. Dr Hines is on the British Menopause Society Specialist register and is a member of the International Menopause Society. She is on the clinical advisory panel at the menopause charity

Dr Hines provides face to face, telephone and video consultations at Miss Claire Mellon and Associates. She specialises in HRT, the menopause and contraception - and is available to fit coils and contraceptive implants including Nexplanon implants. She also carries out Well Woman checks and cervical smears.

Background

Dr Hines graduated from the University of Leeds in 2001. She completed GP training in 2006 and qualified as a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2006.

She has completed Advanced Menopause training with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. She regularly attends meetings with the British Menopause Society and International Menopause Society to keep up to date and provide evidence-based care. She has completed post graduate Diplomas in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Paediatrics.

Dr Hines takes a holistic approach towards assessing and treating menopausal symptoms to provide personalised care. She prescribes hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and testosterone for low libido. She also prescribes non-hormonal alternatives to HRT.

​

Dr Hines is the Lead for Menopause at Aneira Health, a digital women’s health company focused on improving long term health for women.  She is an experienced GP and has a wide breadth of experience. She worked for the NHS for 17 years specialising in women’s health and contraception. She also worked in Community Gynaecology alongside her GP work, covering all areas of Gynaecology including fibroids, endometriosis and urinary symptoms. 

 

She has worked as a menopause specialist for Holland & Barrett.

  • Follow up consultation (30 mins): £225

Dr Hines is not covered by insurance so all patients will be seen as self-pay.  Payment is required at the time of booking to secure the appointment.

Please note: Patients will require an invoice number,  email address and DOB to make a payment. 

Menopause Information

Dr Hines is on the British Menopause Society specialist register and is able to prescribe testosterone to help with the Menopause.
